APPLE CUP 2010: Time To Exorcise Some Demons CougCenter

October 28th, 2006.  It's my senior year at Washington State.  I'm sitting in my house with some friends watching the Cougs take on UCLA.  DeMaundray Woolridge rumbles for a game clinching touchdown that gives the Cougs their sixth win of the year, making them bowl eligible with three games to play.  My friends and I are making bowling motions.  I declare that it is nice to finish my college career the same way it started, with a good Cougar football team. Fast forward three weeks to November 18th, 2006.  The Cougs come into the Apple cup having lost their previous two games and will actually require won more win to guarantee a trip to a bowl.  Situation sound familiar? It is exactly what the Huskies face today (Except for the fact that they are trying to get to 6 wins, and will go to a high-profile, decent payout bowl if they do.

Why was Willie Nelson arrested? Find out in our hilarious YouTube video of the week featuring Jimmy Kimmel.

Who would have thought? Willie Nelson charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession… No way!

Amber Heard Comes Out As A Lesbian

Good for her!
Zombieland and Pineapple Express actress Amber Heard officially came out of the closet at GLAAD's 25th Anniversary Celebration Saturday night.
She, along with her partner Tasya van Ree, attended the event and spoke openly about her choice to come out. She declared that she didn't want to be "a part of the problem" [...]

jersey-shore-angelina-pivarnick-fight.jpg

Oh, surprise surprise!

Jersey Shore's Angelina Pivarnick was thrown out of the Jersey nightclub Taj Mahal Saturday night after a fight broke out between her and an unidentified woman.

Police were sent to the scene, but luckily for the Staten Island dump reality star, she wasn't arrested.

And all this went down just hours before she was scheduled to appear in a CELEBRITY fight against Kerry Schwartz from reality show Frank the Entertainer in a Basement Affair in Atlantic City.

Classy.

Angelina's lawyer has already made a statement about the incident, saying, "We believe Angelina is innocent of any allegations and if there is any legal action, we will fight it vigorously."

Ha! Yes, because fighting is what she DOES do best.

Robbie Williams Bares His Bum On Danish TV

Robbie Williams, who has reunited with Take That — the boyband that made his famous in the early 90′s, cheekily bared his ass on Danish TV this week. To be honest, it doesn’t take much to get Robbie to bare his bum but at least now he’s doing it in the service of Take That [...]

Mochi The Dog Is JackMANs Best Friend

Last Tuesday we got our first look at the newest member of the Jackman family — a pet pooch named Mochi. On Thursday, we saw cute photos of daddy Hugh Jackman enjoying some bonding time with the pup and today we get to see eldest child Oscar Maximillian sharing his own bonding time with little [...]

The usually testy actor Gerard Butler was especially testy in Miami, FL yesterday when he decided to go all crazypants on a paparazzi photographer who was taking photos at the Art Basel Miami event at the Miami Convention Center yesterday afternoon … take a look:

Thankfully Gerard did NOT take a page from the Russell Crowe playbook (who got himself into a bit of trouble a few years ago when he went all Naomi Campbell on a poor unsuspecting hotel concierge when he assaulted him with a telephone). As you can see, Gerard had a phone handy and managed to refrain from hurling the device at the offending photog. Good Gerry, good boy. Still … Mr. Butler may want to get that temper in check a bit better … he doesn’t really want to join the Naomi Campbell/Russell Crowe Phone Club, now does he?

Brangelina The Twins Invade NYC

The globetrotting Brangelina family have made their way from Paris, France (where they recently celebrated Pax Thien‘s 7th birthday together and paid an intimate visit to the Aquarium de Paris) to NYC, NY this weekend and managed to invade and take the city by storm. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stepped out with their twin [...]

Yesterday evening, David and I met up with our friend Jen at the ArcLight Hollywood for an early showing of Black Swan (primarily because most of the showings last night were completely sold out) so that we could AT LAST see the film that everyone has been buzzing about … for months. Without question, Black Swan is now one of my favorite films of the year:

Black Swan is absolutely a Darren Aronofsky masterpiece … those of you who are familiar with and love his films will most assuredly enjoy Black Swan. To be honest, I’m having a hard time thinking of ways to describe it. The pace is frantic and the action is dizzying … there are times when you have no idea what exactly is going on and it’s never easy to believe what you see happen on the screen. Natalie Portman‘s acting performance is a tour de force … she is really magnificent as Nina Sayers, overwrought yet hugely talented ballet dancer. Mila Kunis is also fantastic but her role as the cool chick ballerina is fun rather than impressive. The film is all about Portman. I don’t know that I’ve seen a more beautiful film this year … without question, Black Swan will be honored in some way at the Academy Awards next year. IMHO, Swan is a much superior film to The Wrestler (which won a few Oscars) so I’m counting on Portman and Aronofsky to be honored with their own Oscars this time around. I would deffo call Black Swan intense and very scary … be prepared to be in a clenched posture thruout the film. I was so stressed by the franticness of the film that I needed to relax and come down after it was over. Just … brilliant. There are a few things about the film that I must see again so that I can sort them out in my head but YOU MUST see Black Swan at least once in theaters. The film opened in select cities this weekend but it will open more wide in the coming weeks. See this film, you must!!!

After the movie, we went out for some eats at 8oz. Burger Bar and Jen and I chatted away the night for hours! ‘Twas a fun night out, indeedie.

Today, I’m meeting up with Darion and some friends for a fun afternoon hangout session and then tonight David and I are planning to hang out with Jordan for his birthday! It’s a bummer that the weekend is already over already … hope you have a great Sunday!!
